This company has been established by American Inventor Frank Seiberling in the year 1898. By that time, Goodyear is already known brand in the automobile industry as the most efficient and best racing tire company. However, in the Second World War, Goodyear played a great role by helping develop the Corsair fighter aircraft to aid the US military.

Goodyear is a multinational corporation which expanded from rubber and tire maker into other fields of business. In the year 1956, this brand already started working on nuclear processing facility in Ohio. Again the year 1970s, the company formed a unit called Goodyear Aerospace Corporation, which developed from the Goodyear Aircraft Company that has been designed and produced aircraft like space shuttle.
