This company has been established by American Inventor Frank Seiberling in the year 1898. In the year 1909, the Goodyear tires started manufacturing aircraft tires which is now make Goodyear company a renowned tire brand all over the world.

Goodyear then totally emerged into the biggest rubber manufacturer globally in the year 1926. By that time, Goodyear is already known brand in the automobile industry as the most efficient and best racing tire company. With this popularity of the Goodyear tires shot up and cemented the way for further growth and wide scale popularity. Years after years are the succeeded witnessed that how Goodyear tires evolved as a brand and as a tire and rubber company. The company had expanded its portfolio of manufacturing products and included lot more other significant items like several components for electric printers, rubber hoses, shoe soles, insulators and tires for heavy machinery. However, in the Second World War, Goodyear played a great role by helping develop the Corsair fighter aircraft to aid the US military.

Goodyear is a multinational corporation which expanded from rubber and tire maker into other fields of business. In the year 1956, this brand already started working on nuclear processing facility in Ohio. Again the year 1970s, the company formed a unit called Goodyear Aerospace Corporation, which developed from the Goodyear Aircraft Company that has been designed and produced aircraft like space shuttle.
