Spur Gear Company
Spur gear is the simplest kind of gear which involves of a cylinder or disk. Its form is not straight-sided, thus, the edge of every tooth is straight and aligned parallel to the axis of rotation.

Primarily, they are very noisy when used at some speeds because the entire face engages at once. Therefore, they are also known as slow-speed gears. Secondly, they can only be used to transfer power between parallel shafts. They cannot transfer power between non-parallel shafts. Thirdly, when compared with other kinds of gears, they are not as strong as them.
Types of Spur Gears:
Internal: The internal gear is extra or less similar to the even spur gear. They are cylindrical in arrival and the tooth is parallel to the axis. The internal spur gears have teeth that face inward. The gears are placed in such a way that they make internal contact. They are also referred to as ring gears. The output rotation created by this gear system is in the same direction as the input rotation.
External: These are the maximum common and popular kinds of spur gears. The teeth like construction are cut on the outside surface of the wheel. The large size wheel is called as the gear and the small size wheel is called as the pinion. The output rotation is in the opposite way when compared to the input rotation. In the external spur gear system the teeth are used to provide a constant speed and spin between two parallel shafts.
Uses: Spur gears are used to growth or reduction the power or torque hence they are incorporated in clothes dryer, washing machines, blenders and in production equipment. They are likewise used to growth or reduction the speed. As such they are put to use in mechanical clocks and egg beaters. They are also implemented in designing air craft engines.
