Towing Used For Transporting Vehicles
Pairing two objects or more than it together to be pulled by a power source is called as Towing. The power source can be a motorized vehicle/human/animal; the main objective of the process is to pull the load through the power source. The loads are generally tied up by a rope, chain, bar etc which is meant to keep the objects together when in motion. Governments and industry norms have developed for carriers, pairing and lighting in order to ensure safety and affinity of the towing equipment.
Types of Trailers
As of the categorized trailers, they are specified for towing purpose for several varying objects according to their size. Small trailers are for small categorized vehicles like car, boats etc, which are fully covered by four sides and roof. The big trailers are for the large categorized vehicles which come in many configurations and are generally of opened form. The special trailers are for the specialized vehicles like unpowered train cars.
The most important factor for towing safety which needs to be focused is tongue weight. It is the weight for which the trailer presses down on the vehicle’s hitch. Low weight can cause sway back and forth of the trailer when towed and even more weight can cause problems for the tow vehicle.
